The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The room smelled a bit musty, which was pretty disappointing. Breakfast had a decent selection including Texas-shaped waffles. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy at times.

I can’t believe how dirty our room was—there were cigarette burns all over the sheets and the bathroom had hair and dirty water in the tub. It felt unsafe, and we didn’t even stay longer than ten minutes!

Friendly staff and clean beds. Breakfast had basic options like waffles and yogurt, which was nice. Some areas need maintenance; the shower faucet was loose. it's decent for the price.

Comfortable room, comfortable staff with friendly service from Stacy at check-in and a pleasant checkout experience with a super sweet gentleman.
For us it was ideal.

The room was mostly comfortable, yet some areas needed attention. The bed had a noticeable indentation that made sleeping difficult. Temperature control was inconsistent; the AC struggled to keep the room cool. While I appreciated the friendly staff, soft towels, and generally tidy space, there were minor issues—sticky surfaces and a clogged sink. The noise level was acceptable, with minimal disruption. Breakfast options were decent, but taking food to my room felt awkward after being told it wasn’t allowed. No significant irritations, just room for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Room was clean & service was fast. Housekeeping came every day like clockwork.
It wasn’t cheap, but for the quality, it’s still fair.

The staff keeps smiling and genuinely tries to help. The pool area looks inviting and the lobby has a cozy vibe with a nice coffee corner.
The area feels a bit sketchy and not very safe.

Our vacay with friends was lit - hit up the cool outdoor pool, sippin’ coffee, and chillin' with poolside vibes all day. We even found epic hiking trails nearby for adventure! It was the ultimate hangout spot!
Could use a little more night time buzz with a hip hangout area or music to keep the fun going for us young party peeps.

A mix of good and bad here. The staff at check-in was friendly and helpful, but that didn’t make up for the dirty room with stained sheets and a lingering smell. Water wouldn’t drain in the tub and the carpet was beyond filthy. I felt uneasy with homeless people loitering outside. Breakfast was basic, but I couldn’t find a seat. The pool looked neglected, and the overall vibe felt more sketchy than inviting. Left feeling disappointed, not what I’d hoped for on this trip. For what I paid, I expected at least a bit of comfort.

Just an appropriate option for a little getaway in San Antonio with incredible value for money. A/C worked amazing!

I loved how close this hotel was to everything I wanted to explore, with the McNay Art Museum just about 5 kilometers away and the beautiful San Antonio Botanical Gardens only a 6.5-kilometer walk, making it easy for me to soak in the city's culture and nature; plus, there are many restaurants and convenient stores within a short stroll, like Cracker Barrel and a grocery store just a few steps from the hotel. The staff was friendly and eager to help, which made the stay feel welcoming even with some areas needing improvement. But I found the cleanliness in some spots could be better.

Welcoming staff did their best under current health guidelines. Ample parking eased our travel trailer concerns. Visiting family was a bonus, as we enjoyed card games together despite the weather. the room's condition was disappointing. Stained sheets, lingering odors, and a drainage issue in the tub made our stay uncomfortable. The lobby's cleanliness was questionable, and I felt uneasy with the homeless presence outside. A morning staff member's indifference exacerbated my frustration. While the price was attractive, I would gladly pay more for a better experience. This trip was intended to be special for my wife, but instead, it induced anxiety. A serious evaluation of the property is essential.

We enjoyed the refreshing coffee area and cool seasonal pool.
For dads, it would be great to have more family-friendly activities.

The room we booked was decently equipped with standard amenities like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. there were a few areas that definitely needed improvement. The carpeted floors looked like they could use a good deep cleaning, and the room had a faint musty smell that was a bit off-putting. the staff was friendly and accommodating, which made check-in a breeze. The bed was comfortable, and the room service was prompt. I appreciated the effort put into maintaining the basic cleanliness of the room, but there were a few small details that were overlooked, like the dusty garden furniture outside our room. One thing that stood out to me was the lack of ironing facilities in the room. It would have been nice to have that option available, especially when traveling for business or special events. I noticed that the bathroom could use some updating – the bathtub looked a bit old and worn, and the water pressure was not that great. I had a decent stay at La Quinta Inn, but there were definitely some areas that could use improvement to enhance the overall experience. I hope this feedback helps others considering a stay at this hotel. Until next time,Your friendly traveler.

The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was a great plus, really helped start our day on Christmas! the cleaning ladies were very friendly and offered to help with getting ice from the lobby since the outside machine wasn't working.
The room was in rough shape - the outlets were falling apart and some didn't even work. The bathroom outlets were completely out of order.

I managed to squeeze in a visit to the Witte Museum for work, relive the Alamo drama, and indulge in the free Bright Side Breakfast® at the hotel. free internet, parking, and a refreshing swim.
Bugs were my roommates - quite the unforgettable experience.

What a great Christmas vacation! The check-in was smooth and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The location was convenient, close to major attractions and easy to find. The room was clean and cozy, with a comfy bed that provided a good night's sleep. The amenities like snacks and water were a nice touch, adding a personal touch to our stay.
The only downside was the occasional smell of smoke in the non-smoking room and a few bugs in the bathroom. It would be great if they could improve the cleanliness to make the rooms even more inviting.

I chose La Quinta for its proximity to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and Conservatory, which I was eager to visit. To my surprise, the customer service agents were exceptionally helpful and the variety of nearby restaurants and shopping options made my stay even more enjoyable.
Unpleasant odor and moist beds. Roaches in the room.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The free breakfast and wifi were a big plus, and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even helping us when we forgot our room key. The facilities were well-maintained and the location was convenient for our activities in San Antonio. We especially loved the security measures and friendly front desk staff. a great experience for families!

The waffle maker was outstanding. Having a breakfast area is great for such a busy place. I needed to have my room changed after they gave me the key and I realized that it would be on the 2nd floor and they had no elevators. I requested to have the room changed to the first floor to accommodate my elderly disabled mom and they did it with a smile.
I encountered a very bad odor in the room, although it was non-smoking. The toilet was so old that it had very dark stains in it and looked disgusting.

the pool water was nice and clean, and the staff at la quinta were super helpful with local recommendations. there's also a track or trail conveniently located right next to the hotel - great for a morning run. and the free wifi was a bonus!
